MALAYSIA

Education for All

Guided by the principle of "Education for All", Ideas Academy provides high quality, affordable virtual education combined with physical classes for students in Kuala Lumpur.

Refugees in Malaysia do not have legal rights to education, employment, housing and healthcare. According to the UNHCR, 26% of the refugees population are under the age of 18. There are very few secondary schools for refugee students in Malaysia.

Ideas Academy is filling this need for refugees and underprivileged local students. In addition to a strong academic programme, Ideas provides coding and computing classes, conducts entrepreneurial activities, and has a well-equipped chemistry lab. These facilities allow our students to creative and critical thinking skills, as well as develop strategies for collaboration, problem solving, and resilience.

What Clarion Does

Expansion capital

We believe in Ideas Academy’s goal to provide affordable and good quality education in Malaysia for the refugee and underprivileged local communities.

To reduce their dependence on donations to fund their operations, we provided expansion capital and a credit line facility for Ideas to scale and attract an equal proportion of fee-paying local or foreign students interested to learn alongside their refugee student counterparts.
